What do Melissa Joan Hart, Lindsey Lohan, Kirsten Dunst and Fergie all have in common?  Burnout tees from Alternative Apparel.  These are soft, comfy and form fitting.  To get yours, click here: http://www.amazon.com/Alternative-Apparel-Burnout-Medium-White/dp/B000XRZOA6/ref=sr_1_2/002-2567937-4309604?ie=UTF8&m=A3CI6OBUCZM4TS&s=generic&qid=1193251602&sr=1-2.

tomas-maier.jpgTomas Maier has become well-known for his form enhancing bathing suits and bikinis.  Although the weather is starting to move in the colder direction, I can’t help mentioning his casual luxury line that uses cashmere, jersey and silk to beautify the female form.  This creative director at Bottega Veneta has built up a celebrity cult following with pricey tags.

When you are looking for a special piece to enhance your luxe wardrobe, visit www.tomasmaier.com and see his new looks.

I have found Family Magazine useful as a resource for things to do with the kids, shopping listings, and other helpful articles.  They cover many cities in the United States and you can find them free and many grocery stores and magazine stands.

toothfairy.jpgThe T-Shirt has long been a political/personality playground.  In recent years, it ascended the ranks from everyday wear to sophisticated designer wear with pricey tags.  Insert the social networking capabilities of the Internet and now anyone can sell their wares online.

Cafepress was one of the first to assist designers with creations on tees and mugs.  However, Threadless stands out these days as the one to buy from with the tightly edited tees that are voted on each week.  Limited runs of winner tees ensure that they sell out and the top designers on this site even have a loyal following.  Welcome to the MySpace for cool tees!

pediped.jpgMy Little One’s favorite shoes are Pediped.  Made of soft leather, these shoes come in many styles and have nice cushioned soles.  She is obsessed with putting on her luxe shoes on in the morning as soon as she wakes up for the day.  Pediped styles are so cute too.  There’s a private sale going on right now at Baby Luxe.  Just type in freeteee to get a free t-shirt with your purchase.

You can also find pediped at Nordstron, babystyle, Giggle and Fred Segal.

Pediped also has a large celebrity baby following.  Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, are strolling Isabella around town as she wears the Abigail style in pink.

Other notable stars spotted with their children in pedipeds include Julia Roberts, Lisa Leslie, Hugh Jackman, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Adam Sandler, Brooke Shields and more.  But the one that is the best judge is My Little One, who’s 1st to pick the pedipeds before her other shoes.  The blue Cavalli sandals I got her on our trip to London never make the cut.  I’m not sure if it’s the comfort or cuteness factor that gets her.  Pedipeds are her hands down favorite and that’s good enough for me. ;)

The girls and I are feeling a bit under the weather today.  This is what I’d order if I had someone to cook for me.  Two things kids love are definitely mac and cheese and chicken soup.

1 pkg. (32 oz.) organic chicken broth

6 oz. small pasta shells

1 bag (16 oz.) frozen broccoli, cauliflower & carrot blend

1 1/2 cups low-fat milk

2 Tbs. all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

In a large saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil and add pasta.  Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.  Add vegetables and cook until all is tender (about 5 minutes).

Combine milk and flour in a resealable container and shake well.  Stir into pasta mixture.  Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.  Gradually add the cheese until melted.  Makes six yummy servings.

Obssession is a sign of addiction…but being obssessed with your kids is exhilarating.

These dads were recently featured in Parents magazine.  What impresses me most is how much they gush about their kids.

www.childsplayx2.com – Matthew Henry writes about his toddler twins, “The Monk” and “Swee’Pea” and covers everything from the messes they make to their adorable personalities.

www.daddytypes.com – Greg Allen helps dads find cool, innovative and modern baby gear.  He also has a quirky funny side with some odd posts.
